| Over the years, High Desert recycling and its’ affiliate companies have encountered a wide array of recycling demands, and have met each challenge with innovate, custom made solutions. Our recent work for Honeywell and Atlantis Casino highlight our ability to create innovative solutions with a high return-on-investment: |

| HONEYWELL |
Honeywell, a major producer of a variety of consumer products, aerospace systems, and engineering services, presented a unique recycling scenario: They had large quantities of plastic drums containing toxic residue. At a waste disposal price of $18 per plastic drum, carting them away to be buried was not only highly uneconomical, but the toxic residue on the drums also posed an environmental hazard.
Entrusted with the task of recycling these plastic drums, we discovered a way to remove any residual toxic matter. Cleansed of toxins, the drums were then ground into a fine particulate consistency in preparation for use in the production of new sewer pipes.
Disposing of the plastic drums in an ecologically responsible fashion, Honeywell’s removal costs were reduced . |

| ATLANTIS |
Atlantis, a casino resort in Reno, Nevada faced an ecological and financial challenge: They needed to securely destroy and replace over $40 million worth of chips. The secure destruction of the chips was of utmost importance, as Atlantis could not risk the potential for fraudulent use of their old chips.
Entrusted to securely destroy the chips, we installed an on-site, low-speed cutting blade utilized to cut the old chips in half, and an off-site shredder to grind the plastic-coated metal chips. Conclusively, $40 million in chips were successfully destroyed for the cost of $35,000 in equipment. The scrap metal was sold for over $22,500, reducing the net cost for the entire project to only $12,500. Affirming our perfect security track record, there were no security breaches. |
